Why SUNDOG though?
Simply explained, a sundog is a concentrated patch of sunlight occasionally seen about 22° to the left or right of the Sun. They often appear in pairs and occur when sunlight refracts through clouds containing ice crystals.
There is a lot of folklore around how these patches of sunlight got their name. Some believe they follow the sun around, by its side, like a dog would follow its human. In Greek mythology the sun and its two mock suns or parhelia are said to represent Zeus with his dogs. There are different beliefs about what sundogs mean as well. Aboriginal Canadians see them as a sign of good fortune, while travelers and meteorologists say they predict a storm on its way.
We believe the sun and its sundogs represent the light at the end of the tunnel with many options for prosperity.
